Stop Loss
Reports For Duty On DVD July 8th
Paramount Pictures $10M Iraq War drama is produced by MTV Films and directed by Kim Peirce (Boys Don't Cry).

After a turn in Clint Eastwood's ensemble World War II drama, "Flags of Our Fathers," Ryan Phillippe stars in a drama about contemporary combat, playing Iraq war veteran and decorated American solider, Brandon King, who is ordered to return to the front lines as part of the military's controversial "Stop-Loss" policy, after having served his tour of duty.

Brandon has just returned to his Texas hometown along with his best friend and war buddy Steve Shriver (Channing Tatum) to attempt to pick up life where they left off. Just as they begin to settle back into civilian life, Uncle Sam comes calling again.

This devastating change upends Brandon's entire world and the disillusioned soldier begins to question the bond of family, the loyalty of friendship, the limits of love and the value of honor.

He makes the life changing decision to go AWOL and sets out on a road trip to Washington, D.C. with his buddy's fiancée (Abbie Cornish) and a series of dramatic incidents occur on the cross-country journey.

The DVD and Blu-Ray disc releases on Tuesday, July 8th, and the special features include:
*Commentary with director Kimberly Peirce and co-writer
Mark Richard.
*The Making of Stop-Loss
*A Day in Boot Camp
*A large batch of deleted scenes

More DVD Releases:

The outrageous, Sin City romantic comedy, "What Happens in Vegas", starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, releases on August 26th from Fox.

Ewan McGregor, Hugh Jackman, and Michelle Williams star in the Manhattan corporate drama, "Deception", releasing on September 23rd.

Ben Stein's documentary, "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed", will be available on October 21st. Stein and the rest of the filmmakers sincerely and seriously argue that Charles Darwin's theory of evolution paved the way for the Holocaust.
